Ride Iceland with the farmers who raised the horses

Owned by Icelandic farmers, Íslandshestar offers an extensive choice of multi-day horse riding tours in Iceland – most of them with a free-running herd, which makes the experience even greater.

32 tours match – from day rides an hour from Reykjavík to eight days across the highlands.

Free-running herd. Herding loose horses is the traditional way of travelling in Iceland – you change horses at least once a day.

Every season has its own ride

From the midnight sun in the highlands to the autumn round-ups and riding under the northern lights.

Booked directly with the people who breed the horses

Every tour starts from the farm of one of our farmers. They know the land, they know the horses – and there are no intermediaries.
